Administering our tests
All entries must be made by the test centre administering the MAT.
The Admissions Testing Service does not charge for the MAT, but some centres charge an administration fee – check with your centre.
Wednesday 15 October 2014: Last date for MAT entries.
Entries will be accepted until 17.00 BST. Entries cannot be withdrawn after this date.
You cannot register yourself for the MAT – you must be registered by a MAT centre.
All candidates need to be entered for the MAT by their centre via the Entries Extranet. Test centres can use this secure website to register, view, modify and withdraw candidate entries.
If your school or college is not already registered as a test centre, just follow the simple registration process outlined below. We will then contact you with further information regarding your application.
There are two simple steps to registering as a test centre:
Step 1: Provide us with information about your centre
Use our online form to provide us with the information we need to set up your centre.
Step 2: We will contact you about the application
We will make arrangements to set up your centre. If successful, you will receive an email with a link to the Entries Extranet and Results Online website, as well as your username and password.
Step 1: Collect the candidate’s details
For each candidate, you complete a standard form which tells us their key details. Download the form below:
MAT candidate registration form
This form is for the November 2013 test. The 2014 registration form will be published here in July 2014.
Step 2: Enter the candidate for the MAT
Step 3: Give the candidate their candidate number
Provide the candidate with their candidate number, as confirmation that they have successfully registered for the MAT. Please note: this is the only confirmation you will receive from the Admissions Testing Service of the candidate entry.
