Administering our tests
You can take the test at any centre that administers MAT.
• If you are currently attending a school or college: ask your exams officer if the school can administer MAT for you. If your school or college is not already registered as a centre, they can apply to become a test centre.
• If you are not attending a school or college: you will need to find an authorised test centre where you can sit the test. Authorised test centres can administer MAT for all test-takers.
You cannot register yourself for the MAT – you must be registered by a MAT centre.
The Admissions Testing Service does not charge for the MAT, but some centres charge an administration fee – check with your centre.
Saturday 15 October 2016: Last date for MAT entries.
Entries will be accepted until 18.00 BST. Entries cannot be withdrawn after this date.
Please note that by registering for the MAT you are agreeing that data provided as part of the entry process may be passed to the Admissions Testing Service and the University of Oxford, and that data may be used for research purposes in connection with admissions procedures. You also agree that if you obtain a place for a course where your MAT result was used in the admissions process, then the University of Oxford and UCAS may supply the Admissions Testing Service with data about your results in subsequent examinations whilst you are studying at the University of Oxford, unless you specifically notify the University of Oxford in writing. The Admissions Testing Service will take reasonable care to keep candidates’ personal details anonymous.
