Administering our tests
You should take CPSQ only if you are required to do so by an institution. They will provide you with details on how to register for and take CPSQ.
Our general behavioural tendencies are more consistent than we think. When responding to CPSQ, think about what you do most of the time.
By asking you to rank your responses, CPSQ enables you to reflect further on your behaviour and provide more detail about your preferences. You should not specifically try to avoid ranking responses – always answer the questions in an open and honest manner, choosing the response that most closely matches your behaviour.
No, you cannot go back. However, this is unlikely to have much impact on your overall profile. CPSQ results are generated based on your responses to multiple, similarly themed questions.
CPSQ has been designed to be understandable and accessible to most people, so this is very unlikely to happen. However, if you are unsure and cannot think of situations in which you have used a particular behaviour, then select the middle response rating: ‘In Between’. Note that one-off answers to single questions rarely have much impact on your overall CPSQ profile.
This is decided by the individual institution.
Where CPSQ is a requirement for application to a course of study or a job, it must normally be taken by all applicants. However, if you believe you have a reason to be exempt you should discuss this with the institution to which you are applying.
